About Sac & Satchel
Who we are
The Sac & Satchel Company was established in 2015 to manufacture & export high quality leather bags and accessories. Recognising a gap in the retail market, a premium range of retail leather accessories was also launched under the brand named töhl.
Our accessory manufacturing facility currently has a capacity of 100-150 pieces per day. We are located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in South India. Sac & Satchel is a sister concern of Shoeline., which was started in the year 2002. Shoeline is engaged in the manufacture and export of leather footwear to several premium partner retail brands in Europe.
The management at Shoeline brings the same successful business philosophy of transparency, innovation and emphasis on building long term relationships to The Sac & Satchel Company.
What we do
We create luxurious, hand crafted accessories made from the finest genuine leather. Our product range includes women’s handbags, clutches, wallets, men’s bags, laptop bags, travel bags, small leather goods and a host of other personal accessories.
Other than our range of premium leather bags & small leather goods, we specialize in hand embroidered bags made in leather based on traditional Indian hand embroidery techniques, as well as a premium range of handwoven leather bags. Working with leather is our core strength but we do offer a range of other materials, which combine with leather - canvas, banana fibre, fabrics such as jute , and faux/vegan leather options.
Our in-house design and R&D teams are equipped to execute to brief. Fittings & Notions are sourced through a wide variety of reputed and accredited partners internationally. A rigorous quality check system is in place to ensure products that meet, and exceed standards set.
Our strengths
We make our own leathers from wet blue to finished, in a dedicated tannery located in Chennai. We source raw material worldwide.
